| IPOA Annual Summit 2008: Engaging AFRICOM
The IPOA Annual Summit, to be held October 26-28 in Washington, D.C., will focus on the U.S. military's new Africa Command. The Summit will examine key aspects of AFRICOM, particularly from the perspective of the private sector's involvement in this new initiative. The Summit will provide a valuable networking opportunity for the peace and stability operations industry.

As part of the commitment of IPOA and its companies to spread awareness of the Association's ethical standards, the Code of Conduct has been released in the Arabic language. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) has been finalized between the DoD and DoS defining the authority and responsibility for the accountability and operations of U.S. Government PSCs in Iraq. IPOA will continue to keep updated on any and all information (including analysis and implications) related to this MoA.

The State of the Peace and Stability Operations Industry Survey is the only study of its kind in the world.
